3 Main Steps of the Certification Process
1. Preparation
Understand the certification standard (e.g., SEDEX, ISO, FSSC, BRC).

Develop documentation, train staff, and implement necessary systems.
2. Audit
A certification body conducts a two-stage audit:
Stage 1: Review of documents and readiness.
Stage 2: On-site audit to verify implementation.
Address any non-conformities with corrective actions.
3. Certification & Maintenance
Receive your certification once compliance is confirmed.
Maintain your system through regular internal reviews.
Undergo annual surveillance audits and a recertification audit every 3 years.
